Shipping policy

Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy applies to purchases made through Summit Vans Pty Ltd and our online store.

This policy should be read together with our full Terms of Service and Refund Policy.

Shipping Methods

Products listed on the Summit Vans website may be shipped by registered post, courier, freight carrier or direct from a supplier, depending on the product, size, weight, quantity, availability and delivery location.

The shipping carrier may vary from order to order. We will choose the most suitable available freight option based on the item being shipped and the delivery address provided.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout where possible.

For some bulky, oversized, heavy, fragile, dangerous goods, special-order, supplier-direct or remote-area deliveries, shipping may not be automatically calculated at checkout. In these cases, we may contact you after your order is placed to confirm the final shipping cost before dispatch.

If additional freight charges apply, your order may be held until those charges are confirmed and paid.

Order Processing

We aim to process orders as quickly as possible. Processing times may vary depending on stock availability, supplier lead times, order volume, product type and whether the item is stocked, special-order, pre-order, made-to-order or supplier-direct.

Some products may have specific lead times shown on the product page. These lead times are estimates only and may change due to supplier availability, freight delays, manufacturing delays or other circumstances outside our control.

If there is a significant delay with your order, we will do our best to keep you updated.

Shipping Confirmation and Tracking

Once your order has been shipped, you will usually receive a shipping confirmation by email, SMS or app notification, depending on the information supplied at checkout.

Where available, the shipping confirmation will include a tracking number, consignment number or tracking link.

Tracking information may take some time to update after the order has been collected by the carrier.

Domestic Shipping

We ship products domestically within Australia.

Domestic shipping timeframes vary depending on the product, quantity, availability, supplier location, delivery location and carrier used.

Remote, regional and rural areas may experience longer delivery times. Bulky or oversized products may also require additional handling time.

International Shipping

International shipping may be available on selected products at our discretion.

If international shipping is not available at checkout, please contact us at sales@summitvans.com.au before placing an order.

International customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs charges, brokerage fees or other costs charged by the destination country. These charges are not included in our product or shipping prices unless expressly stated.

Summit Vans is not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance, border processing, international freight disruptions or destination-country requirements.

Click and Collect

Click and collect may be available for selected products from our facility in North Wollongong, NSW.

If click and collect is available for your order, we will contact you when your order is ready for collection.

Please do not arrive to collect an order until you have received confirmation that it is ready.

Bulky, Oversized or Heavy Items

Some products may require special freight arrangements due to their size, weight or handling requirements.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • roof racks;

  • ladders;

  • side steps;

  • bumpers;

  • suspension components;

  • wheels and tyres;

  • cabinetry components;

  • large fitout parts;

  • fragile or supplier-direct items.

Additional freight charges may apply to these items, particularly for remote, regional or difficult-access delivery locations.

We may contact you after checkout to confirm freight details or provide a separate freight quote.

Authority to Leave

Where available, some carriers may allow parcels to be left unattended at the delivery address.

If you request or approve authority to leave, you accept responsibility for the parcel once it has been marked as delivered by the carrier.

Summit Vans is not responsible for parcels that are lost, stolen, damaged or misplaced after being delivered under authority to leave.

Incorrect Address or Returned Orders

Please ensure your shipping address is correct at the time of checkout.

If your order is returned to sender due to an incorrect address, failure to collect, refusal of delivery, restricted access, unsuccessful delivery attempts or any other issue outside our control, Summit Vans reserves the right to charge additional shipping, handling or return-to-sender fees.

If the order needs to be resent, additional freight charges may apply.

Delivery Delays

We will do our best to dispatch orders promptly, however delivery timeframes are estimates only.

Summit Vans is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, suppliers, customs, weather events, public holidays, peak freight periods, industrial action, road closures, natural disasters or other events outside our control.

A delay in delivery does not automatically entitle you to cancel an order or receive a refund, unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

Damaged Deliveries

Please take care when opening your order, especially when using sharp tools or knives, to avoid damaging the product.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible at sales@summitvans.com.au.

Please include:

  • your order number;

  • photos of the damaged product;

  • photos of the packaging;

  • photos of the shipping label;

  • a description of the damage.

Damage must be reported promptly so that we can assess the issue and, where appropriate, raise a claim with the carrier or supplier.

Please keep the original packaging until the issue has been resolved, as the carrier or supplier may require it for assessment.

Missing, Lost or Stolen Deliveries

If your tracking shows that an order has been delivered but you have not received it, please check around the delivery location, with other occupants, neighbours, reception areas or building managers before contacting us.

If the parcel still cannot be located, please contact us at sales@summitvans.com.au and we will assist where possible.

Summit Vans is not responsible for parcels that are lost or stolen after being marked as delivered, including parcels delivered under authority to leave.

Split Shipments

Where an order contains multiple products, items may be shipped separately depending on stock availability, supplier location, item size or freight requirements.

You may receive multiple tracking numbers for the same order.

Vehicle Builds, Fitouts and Installed Products

Shipping does not generally apply to complete Summit Vans builds, vehicle fitouts or products installed by Summit Vans at our facility.

For vehicle builds, fitouts and installation work, delivery, handover, collection or transport arrangements will be confirmed separately with the customer as part of the build or installation process.
