Aluminess PowerLift Bike Rack Bundle – Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2019+

Carry two bikes and additional adventure gear without wrestling heavy bikes onto a high-mounted rack.

The Aluminess PowerLift Bike Rack Bundle combines a powered bike-lifting system, two premium 1-UP USA bike trays and a secure aluminium storage box into one complete rear-door carrying solution for the 2019+ Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

At the press of a button, the PowerLift lowers the bike trays to approximately hip height, making it substantially easier to load and unload mountain bikes, e-bikes and other heavy bikes. Once loaded, the rack raises the bikes into an elevated travelling position, helping keep them away from road grime, dust and debris.

The lower section carries the included Deluxe Box Explorer Edition, giving you convenient external storage for riding gear, recovery equipment, tools, hoses and other equipment you would rather keep outside the van.

Power-Assisted Bike Loading

The PowerLift uses a removable power-tool battery to raise and lower the upper bike platform. Its illuminated marine-grade control switch provides simple up-and-down operation, while an automatic upper safety latch secures the platform in its raised travelling position.

Depending on vehicle height, tyre size and suspension setup, the platform lowers to an approximate loading height of 915 mm.

The system can be configured in two operating modes:

• Standard rigging with an upper-platform capacity of up to 155 lb / approximately 70 kg
• High-speed rigging with a capacity of up to 100 lb / approximately 45 kg and faster raising and lowering

This makes the system suitable for carrying many modern mountain bikes and e-bikes, subject to the individual and combined weight limits of the rack and bike trays.

Two Premium 1-UP USA Bike Trays

The included 1-UP USA trays secure each bike by its tyres rather than clamping the frame, helping protect carbon, aluminium and painted bicycle frames from contact damage.

Each tray features:

• Capacity of up to 34 kg
• Rust-resistant aluminium and stainless-steel construction
• Compatibility with wheel sizes from 16 to 29 inches
• Compatibility with tyres up to 3 inches wide
• Optional fat-bike spacer compatibility for tyres up to 5 inches wide
• Secure tyre-contact mounting with no frame contact

External Gear Storage

The included Deluxe Box Explorer Edition provides durable, lightweight aluminium storage beneath the bike platform.

It is ideal for storing:

• Helmets, shoes and riding equipment
• Recovery gear and tools
• Levelling blocks and campsite equipment
• Wet, dirty or muddy equipment
• Hoses, power leads and general touring gear

The box may be configured to open from either side, allowing the installation to be adapted to suit the vehicle and preferred access direction.

Sprinter-Specific Rear Door Base Unit

The Aluminess Base Unit mounts to the Sprinter’s factory rear-door hinge and bolt locations, avoiding the need to drill through the vehicle body.

Important Fitment Information

The Aluminess PowerLift requires 180-degree rear-door hinges.

It is not compatible with the factory 270-degree hinges unless the vehicle is converted using a suitable 180-degree hinge kit. A hinge kit is not included in this bundle unless specifically stated on your order.

Please confirm your vehicle’s rear-door hinge configuration before purchasing.

Battery Not Included

The PowerLift is designed to operate using either:

• DeWalt 20V MAX battery; or
• Milwaukee M18 battery.

The battery and charger are not included in this bundle.

Vehicle Compatibility

Designed for:

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter VS30 – 2019 onwards

Compatibility can be affected by rear-door hinges, existing accessories, rear ladders, spare-wheel carriers, door-mounted equipment and vehicle modifications. Please contact Summit Vans before ordering if your Sprinter already has rear-door accessories fitted.

Installation

Professional installation is recommended to ensure the base rack, PowerLift mechanism, storage box and bike trays are correctly assembled, aligned and secured.

Always observe the stated capacity of every individual component. The permissible load is limited by the lowest-rated component in the complete installation. Vehicle payload, rear axle load, door load and overall GVM must also be considered.
